MONOLAB. Solo project of experimental musician Martin Powell.originally based in birmingham(uk).Now relocated in Oslo,Norway.
 MONOLAB.have been in existence since 1992,in one form or another.
 Monolab started out making experimental space music. using Theremin, old 70’s/80’s analogue synths,old effects units,electronic toys & games.old         computers. anything which added to or built up the sound. (tape delays,feedback,noise, etc.).”experimentation is the keyword.”
 Although Monolab has recorded constantly,since it’s formation in the early 90’s.
 very little has seen the light of day and been released. also Monolab has rarely performed live.

 In The 2000’s very little still remains released,the occasional rare live performance has been known.
 Music now shifts between: far out cosmic space drones,electronic Noise & acoustic melodies.

Monolab can also be seen working with like minded musicians for gigs & collaborations.(some being released, some not).
